Event Start Date: 2025/07/31

2025/07/31

Daily activity:

Thursday July 24th: water temp 82.8 E 4-8mph in the a.m. / 86.0 SE 13-18mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There was a couple of short King Mackerel and a Bonita in the morning. The afternoon had good wind and a chop. Dan N caught a King that was 12-14-pounds. There were two other barely legal Kings decked, and several Bonita were caught. Jeffery caught and released a nice Sailfish. Several Spanish Mackerel were decked. There were Cigar Minnows, Alewives, Spanish Sardine and a couple of Threadfin Herring available for live bait.

Friday: water temp 84.6 ESE 8-15mph with t-storms in the a.m. / 85.8 SSE 10-17mph in the p.m. The water was clean. The Summer Bonita bite was insane in the morning, took a break around lunchtime, and the bite turned on again mid-afternoon. I lost count after 50 hit the deck. Anglers had to do the special dance to prevent tangled lines as multiple fish were hooked at once. The King Mackerel bite was very slow with about a half dozen small ones were caught, “Flipper” was there most of the day collecting his taxes. Several Red Drum were caught in the shallows. Most were over-slot like the one Landon got. Several of the Bonita and a couple Kings were taken. Live bait was thick from skinny water all the way to the end Tee. There were Cigar Minnows, Alewives and tons of Spanish Sardine. I saw a couple of anglers that filled their coolers to the top with Sardine.

Saturday: water temp 85.3 E 6-10mph in the a.m. / 88.0 SW 6-10mph in the p.m. The water was clean. A few Bonita and Spanish Mackerel, Two Tarpon hooked. There were Cigar Minnows, Alewives, and Spanish Sardine available for live bait.

Sunday: water temp 86.9 N 5mph in the a.m. / 89.1 W 12-15mph in the p.m. The water was clean. The day was slow. A very small King Mackerel was caught before 8:00 a.m., and a few Spanish Mackerel caught during the day as well as four Bonita. There were Cigar Minnows and Alewives available for live bait,

Monday: water temp 84.2 N 6-9mph in the a.m. / 85.8 W 12-15mph in the p.m. The water was clean except for some floating grass. There were a few Spanish Mackerel caught. Blaze decked a nice Bonita. I got a Taropn that jumped 5 times before I popped it off beside the pier. It ate a small Cigar Minnow on a King rig. There were small Cigar Minnows and Alewives available for live bait,

Tuesday: water temp 84.4 NNW 4-7mph in the a.m. / 86.0 WSW 8-15mph in the afternoon. Mid-afternoon a strong thunderstorm moved through with winds gusting to 35mph. The water was clean. There were several under sized King Mackerel and a keeper in the early morning. There were a couple of Bonita too. Spanish Mackerel and Ladyfish were caught throughout the day.

Wednesday: water temp 83.3 WNW 5-8mph in the a.m. /   Several small King Mackerel before 09:00. Kim got a small one and Brock got a “scoolie”. Decent sizes Spanish Mackerel were caught in the afternoon.
